Default 2005 Limited Edition #30 of 500?

I was looking for a tC for my mom on eBay and I came across this :http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Scion...21801334QQrdZ1
I was wondering if this was legit. or if this is some b.s. it looks good but was this really built by Scion?

Please help.

Looks like a dealer limited edition. Certainly not any widely publicized limited edition like the RS1. This just seems to be a "fake" limited that a dealer slapped together with their own options.

They likely didn't. Either it's a regional 500 or they just made it up.

My Delaer here in South florida was also offering the same LE tC. It was back in like october of 2004. The only thing different was that it had all leather interior, with tC stiched in the headrest, and a badge letting you know what number LE it was. My "DEALERS" Had about 3 or 4. And this seller is in GA, so it is probabl a Souther toyota thing.

yeh its dealer "limited edition." they just slap all the options on, add leather interior, and sometimes (in this case) a limited edition badge.

Exactly! Just another way for dealers to force you to buy useless accessories you would have opted not to buy otherwise.

"special edition" ? lol

What is special about it? It doesnt have ONE option that was not available to me when I bought mine. The leather was offered through my dealer in MN as well and is made by Katzkin. Everything else on that car looks bone stock to me. Anytime someone lists "inside hood release" and "cup holders" as included options it is a pretty clear sign they are trying to oversell something. What a joke! Go by a BCP tC and order the Katzkin installed for about $1000 - $1200, or just buy the precut kit from Katzkin for around $600 I believe and install yourself if you know how.

yup, yup... nothing special at all except the $$$$ that the dealer gets when they sell it to someone who is suckered into believing that it's really, really special.

Because its not "special". We aren't saying there is anything wrong with buying it. Just as long as you know it really isn't a special edition. All the dealer did was add a bunch of options and charged you for them.

Ugh..man... pinstripes.. you couldn't pay me to rock those.

But the rest of the car looks nice. Don't really think it's worth the extra $$ when you could just get a stock used tC that would look nearly identical. It also has 20k miles on it.
