You happen to have a PS (or even Paint) of what you're leaning towards as far as size and placement?

You can't go wrong with Domo-Kun, imo.

 

I suck so bad at photoshop! I've never really used it other than to touch up photos using autolevels!! After messing around with it a bit (and a day spent reading tutorials), I have a very rough idea sketched out. Also, I'm not that much of a creative artist, but without further ado...

its a good attempt, but i would lose the stars or figure out a way to more properly integrate them. they just look out of place.

 

I have to agree about the stars not working. If you wanted something to tie it all in as a filler or background you should use the hexagons and characters from the pic I posted on page one.
