Default 2008 front lip kit on 2005 tC

Does anybody know if the 2008 front lip (pretty much the whole front bumper) kit will fit onto my 2005 ....or did they change the mount points? If so - does anybody have pictures?

I doubt it was changed at all. Theres really no reason to changing the mount points. Even if they did, drill new holes. So more likely than not, it should fit.

Im really thinking about in a year or two from now replacing the whole front kit and headlights. What a nice new makeover that would be. All the chip marks and old headlights ..... im sure I could probably sell the old headlights on ebay for a few bucks also. you can tell my front end is sagging a tad cause the headlights are 1/8th off ( i really dont know how much).

the more you read on this form and listen to people talk the more you will find that toyota will change just about anything for no reason at all. The front headlight bulbs are the same .... they could have easily put the same bulbs since they weren't making a "true" hid kit ...but nooooooooooooooooooooo ..... they changed the size. Im very suprised they didnt put an extra lip on the headlight so it would screw everybody into being able to change them.

Thats different though. Gotta think of it from a corporate perspective. Companies wanna reduce production costs as much as possible. The reason for completely changing something like bulbs or anything else as a matter of fact could be any of a number of reasons. Other bulbs might have been less expensive, contracts with suppliers could have expired, corporate politics, etc. You never really know what the reason is. When changing out an item for a different one there is usually a reason behind it.

But when you keep the item the same and only change the locations it mounts then thats just counter-productive. Instead of mass producing the same product you now have to change your production lines. They would have to make new molds to form the lip kits with different mounting locations. It would cost money to do that rather than save money.

Where is the best place to purchase a new front bumper for my tC? I would really like to start thinking about swapping the new 09 bumper or many one of those limited edition tC's - with my 05 and converting the headlights to the new hid housings - Or maybe I should just get my current one repainted - i dunno what to do.
