Default 3m Paint Defender

I was at autozone today and they had this new display for this stuff. I was wondering if anyone had ever tried this and how effective it was. I used to have the 3M film on the front of my celica, to protect from rock chips and it worked great but was twice as thick. This stuff only lasts a year, but I am going to get the parts of my car repainted soon and was thinking of putting this on to see if it works. Seems like it would be easier to apply then the film and its way cheaper, file was $100 for just the front bumper.

I actually work at AutoZone and i've been really interested in this product, but it took a couple months for a customer to put it. Finally a regular came in, it caught his eye and he decided to get it, of course i had to ask him to tell me how he liked it after he had put it on. A couple weeks later he came back and said it loved the stuff. Ended up getting some more of other cars he owned. I have no personal experience with the product but that one customer loved it. I would say give it a shot.

Plasti dip to paint the bumper or to protect it?

Because I like my bumper to match my car and have never seen a matching plasti dip color.

plastidip has a clear dip product but i think it will make the bumper or whatever you spray it on look a little satin/matte

Yes, buy a can of spray clear from dioyourcar.com and also buy a can of gloss. Use the can of clear and then gloss it.
