Does it bother anyone else that the entire plastic bit doesn't light up when the brake is applied? In other words, why didn't they extend the LEDs all the way to the ends?

Does anyone know of a replacement part that has lights all the way to the edge?

yes, someone did try a led conversion, but IMO, it's crap. someone needs to do it right, and sell it, I'd buy it

 

i hated that too. and i didnt like the overall look. if you look at g35's 3rd brake light, it looks so much more quality compared to ours.

so what i did was shaved it off

haha thats what my dad thought too when we brought the car home... oh well at least its LEDS.

 

Yea, someone at work told me that my brake light was burned out on the ends.

 

I jjust hate the looks when its not on.. I mean it looks like some piece of plastic on my car.

Also, do you run into any legal issues with this? I mean, technically we're supposed to have a 3rd brake light. 'course in Texas we're supposed to have a front license plate as well but in in 8 years I've never had a problem with not carrying one.

i have seen pics of taek's and i though it looked to bare but once he through his spoiler on it was perfect

I think I'm gonna keep mine though. I like the looks of it, I'd just rather the whole stupid thing work.

 

...And frankly, esp here in LA, I want all the idiots behind me to have as many brake lights as is possible to look at!
Maybe someone will come out with a replacement kit.
