Default 45% Tint

Alright, ive been searching and searching and all i see is 35% tint and darker. Thats too dark for me.... I just want to have some color to the windows, like 45% or 50%. I need to see pictures of this, however i cant find anything on the internet. I dont care if it was a tc, xb, or xa, or any other car, i just want to see that level of tint

just google it or something..and a heads up..tinting it above 35% wouldnt even be noticible. 35% is bad enough over that you're wasting your money

I dont know cause when i look at these pictures:

That is too dark for me. He says that is 35%.

I want lighter than that. I want to be able to like see through the car through both windows, and i want people to be able to see my face. In this picture, he has an angle on a sunny day that i want my car to look like normally.

you realize that when you are looking at the picture fro the back angle, you are seeing the sunlight that is coming through the windsheild and reflecting back out through te windows.

while on the profile pictures, you are ooking through the car, and since you are looking through the windows on both sides, the amount of light filtered through the windows isn't 35%, but darker because you are not looking through both windows, so the first window filters out all but 35% of the light going through it, and then the second one would be filtering out all but 35% of that one.

also, keep in mind that since the tc has a much more glass (the entire roof) so no matter what tint you get, it will look lighter from the outside because there is a greater amount of light entering and reflecting out again.

If you can hold off till tomorrow Ill take pics of my car. I have 45% on the front windows, the rear windows and the front windshield and I love it. I also have a 20% on the back windshield and you can see what that looks like and decide if thats what you want.

How do you figure 45% is pointless?

Keep in mind there are two reasons why you would tint a car, for privacy or for looks. ( I take it back, there are 3, the last one to keep the heat away during the hot months).

So unless your railing some nasty chicks in your car, or doing other crap where you don't want people to see you that its you, there is is no point in making your car a cop magnet. lol

I had 35% done on my BSP. It's not too dark, but in my case, if you have a black car, with black rims, and black interior, with black windows, you're going to get pulled over. I was pulled over twice with 35%, (which had darkened to 28% after a while) in one week. If you have a silver car, you probably won't have a problem, but if you're like me and have a blacked out car, cops are gonna be all over you.

I stripped them after getting pulled over twice, but I'm going back to get 50% done. Again, same thing, it's going to look a lot darker than it really is because of the color set up of my car, but at least it won't be illegal this time.

I had 18% all around and I got pulled over all the freakin time. I had the fronts redone to 50% and now I am happy. 50% is not a waste of time or money at all. It looks good.

Here you go.... as promised yesterday. ......

Keep in mind my front windshield is tinted 45% also. The whole car basically is with the exception of the rear hatch which is 20%. Hope these pics help a little.

I have roughly the same setup.

Front sides and windshield: 50%
Back sides and rear hatch: 18%
Sunroofs tinted with an additional 35%

People always tell me 50% is not dark enough when they hear the number, but if you saw my car then you wouldn't say that. I think your pics clearly show the same thing. One of the main reasons your 45% and my 50% look dark is because of the tinted windshield. When you tint the windshield, it makes the sides look quite a bit darker because less light gets inside. I would say that 50% or 45% with a tinted windshield will end up looking like 35% darkness.

There are just so many different factors here. You can't just look at pictures of side windows and decide which one looks best. You have to consider whether or not the windshield is tinted, how dark the back windows are, if the sunroof is open, tinted, or closed, if the car has a light or dark interior, the weather, the color of the background scenery.
