Default 6000K HID Kit on 2008 Flint Mica TC

I've had a 6000K HID kit installed since I purchased the car last July but I just decided to take some pics now...the kit I have in these pics is made by PILOT. But I just had a ballast go out (had them for 2 years). So I purchased a whole new kit and it looks identical (color/brightness/etc...).

Personallly I'd go with 10000k. The purest blue! How much are you guys paying for these HID kits?

Oh, and what is the bulb size's for the '08 headlights (i.e. 9006, 9007, H1, H2, etc.)

The '08 low beams are H11's and the high beams are 9005. Theres only a few sites that carry the H11 HID kits. Heres one:

Check em out.

There's H11 kits all over ebay...just find one with a decent warranty (2years+) and you're good. I can take a wall pic for ya...they are perfectly level and really sharp. I love them. And to reiterate, 2008 headlights use H11's for the low beam. I went with the 6000K kit because the higher in color temp you go, the less light output you get. So basically, more color = less brightness. 4300K is about the brightest you can get (pure white with a small yellowish tint when reflecting off the road)..5000K is also similar to that..and 6000K is just a hint of blue when looking at the headlights head on, but they look pure white reflecting off the road. Best of both worlds if you ask me, color and brightness I mean.

I'd go with the 10000k or 8000k for the low beam and perhaps 5000k for the high, given what you just explained 1DarkTC

10000k lowbeam would be like purple...right? that would yield basically no light?

10K isn't really worth it unless you want it. light output is still better than halogen but to the eyes, you can't see anything on the road. And yes, it is purple. At max, I would do 8K but I wouldn't go any higher than 6K.

HID for high beam is worthless.

HID for high beam is worthless.

no, because the bulbs have a rubber seal right up next to the "prongs" where the bulbs twists and locks into place. It's red..look in this pic:

I am using White LEDs for my city lights...I got them for like $7 for the pair shipped on ebay. They have like 5 LEDs per bulb and have a white/bluish tint so they match perfectly with the 6000K hid kit.
