it's repairable..

 

pop it out and some nice rubbing compuound to get out those deep marks...but thats the free way to fix it u might still have a couple small indents from it though

 

i dont think it will look the same once u pop it out.... but if ur trying to save money i suppose u could go that route

 

what is rubbing compound?
i have a similar dent and scratches on my FM rear bumper... the dent is way smaller, and i need to pop it out, but how do i get rid of the scratches in the plastic?

won't the paint be cracked too when you pop it out?

 

if u pop it out slowly i dont think it will crack i have never done it.the paint is pretty flexible...rubbing compound is like polish i have some made my turtle wax and its in a a lil red canister like a tuna can. its very abrasive and if used to much is will take away at ur clear which im sure theres a way to put the shine back in it. Before a rubbing compound i would use wax and try to take out some of the paint transfer

 

The paint has actually been scraped off - guess you cant tell by the pics - anyone know where I can find one - preferrably already painted?

 

you can check junk yards for totalled tc's that don't have rear damage.

or go to your dealership, order a new bumper, take it to be painted.

yeah, but it probably isn't worth it since you gotta pay your deductible.

with my deductible - this is pretty much out of pocket - no one has one for sale?

 

just go to a junk yard like someone said before and find a good condition one or just claim insurance

 

yeah best bet is to try looking around here on scionlife (or even craigslist) for someone selling their rear bumper - hopefully in your color. If not, still take it and get it repainted in super white. Then just replace the bumper. Its really easy to do, I've had to remove the bumper twice to switch tail lights (bought tyc lights, then bought tinted lights). since your close (hollywood, fl) hell I could even help you out pop out the old bumper and put in the new one. I'll keep an eye out for the bumper for you.

Don't claim this on your insurance, the last thing you wanna do is pay more insurance.....

Pop it out and most of the damage will be gone. Then a body shop just has to touch it up with some poly repair stuff and repaint it. 250 - 400. A new bumper will cost you like 250 - 3something plus another 250- 300 to refinish.

 

plus on a new bumper u wont have the vin number on the inside
