We gave up after a while. I was wondering if anyone knew of any installers around my area or anyone who wants to help.

did you put the oven on at 250 degrees and baked them for at least 10-15 mins?? It takes a little while for the lights to seperate but they will.

I went ahead and finished my installation with my dad a couple days ago. A couple hints -- after baking the headlight (I did 250 for 8-10 minutes), it took two screwdrivers and a pocket knife to pry open sections of the headlight at a time, using my free hand to cut the stretched sealant with the knife. Wedging the screwdrivers in between the sections of the headlight is the hardest part, because you want to try and dig down deep to get to the groove where all the sealant is. You'll probably stretch the edges black housing a bit with your screwdrivers to get into the recessed areas, but it's necessary in order to open it properly.

If it's the first attempt to bake the original sealant, it WILL be hell. Took close to 10 minutes for me and my dad to separate everything.

IMO, the hardest part was resealing the headlights. I ended up buying a can of RTV silicone. I love this stuff. After baking and shoving the two halves of the headlight back together, I applied the a thin bead of RTV along the halves of the headlight. Sealed up that badboy real good. No leaks, no more sweat (condensation).

Although, I might have to bake them back open to properly glue the bigger rings around that horrible plastic chrome. All the Quick Grip in the world wouldn't stick the ring to those things. =\

aren't you afraid of condensation that builds up if it is cold in the headlight?

There are 3 screws in the back of the headlight, did u remove them. It didnt state if u did or not so im just asking. If u did just have a friend hold the headlight while u pull like crazy. Should come apart, me and my friend when we did his projector retrofit took us like 5 min to do one headlight. But we left the headlight in the oven for 15 minutes exactly!

yep, when i baked mine apart for the first time i baked em back together without adding any extra sealant. 2 days later there was a pool of water int he bottom of them.

i took them back apart and used some clear silicone i got at autozone and resealed them. it's been 4 months or so and i dont have any condensation at all.

resealing w/ additional sealant is the key.

a good way to reseal is to heat up the side back side to melt the sealant. once its melted, put the front lens back on and clamp down around the edges. then put the entire thing, all clamped up, back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. you can buy these clamps for cheap at homedepot.
