Been a bit busy, so Ive been unable to work on some c/f as much as I'd like... But figure I'd give you guys and gals a little teaser of something else I am working on...

Hoping I'll have the mold cleaned up and able to run the first cover tomorrow night, if not Sat.

 

Oh and just some FYI, the orange is tooling gelcoat... It'll be all trimmed down tomorrow, glassed a bit, and then sanded smooth as hell so that I can be able to unmold the c/f...

 

what is it?

 

Its a mold of the mirror, but it's of the inside of the oem cover... If you look you can see some of the squares and whatnot that are on the interior of the oem one... But most of my sanding to get all the crap on the inside off took care of many of those...

Pretty much I'll need to glass it up some, clean it up, then use that as a base to make the cover replacements...

this would complete the look of a lot of panda's out there i bet

for me though fit would have to be absolutely perfect to consider, i really hate semi fitting stuff, looks horrible.

Yea that's what I am trying to figure out now... Im thinking of having a lip on the underside that you can use to adhere to the frame of the mirror assy...

Not doing everything, paint matching some others, and trying to do a variation of c/f and red/black carbon fiber/ kevlar... But that's just today, who knows tomorrow... ;)

 

hmm, well that'd help out a bit i expect. waiting on pics then :D and hoping you can keep the price down if you start with a group buy or something big :D

 

Oops... Anyways I'll probably just keep the price down... To do GP/GB I'd prefer to have them already made and on the shelf, so probably not likely... But w/ enough interest, who knows...
