Default Antenna Plug

I dont know how reasonable or if this is possible.
But instead of a stock or stubby antenna i know i would way rather just have nothing at all.
however when you remove the antenna you still have the stubby black base.
I personally dont ever use the radio so i have no need for an antenna.
which bring me to the thread topic.
how many other people would be interested in some sort of Antenna Plug?
i Know I-Kona (Formerly known as Delta Customs) already sells the bumper plugs and the keyhole covers. So maybe we could get them to make something for this?

How many people would be interested, just so i know if im the only one or not...

flat with the body? i thought u meant a plug where u unscrew the antenna, if u want flat with the body, why not just fill it.

im pretty sure they understand but then thing you should just get it done the right way instead of plugging it..
if you plug it it wont be flat.even the bumper plugs arent flat with the body

I understand what youre saying. Depending on the size of the hole, the amount of plastic to cover the whole would be obvious and may look tacky. It's an interesting idea though. I would love to see someone attempt it.

obviously not everyone understands...including you.
i realize that the bumper plugs arent flat, but the keyhole covers are...
thats what i want, like the keyhole covers...so that is completly flat and doesnt ruin the flow of the cars body lines.

well thank you, at least someone is finally showing a vague interest.
anyways, I-Kona has said that they will watch this thread to see how many people are interested and would be happy to produce these if enough people actually were interested.

however, this thread is off to a terrible start as far as interest is concerned.

so ill be going to menards/autozone/home depot tonight when i get off work to see what i can find and possibly fab. into something at least close to this, so everyone can get a general idea.

yellowxhoodie, the reason why everyone is confused is because you stated that you wanted to take off the antenna and fill the hole with something. But when you take off the antenna off the tC, there is a base of the antenna that is planted into the car, which is raised, meaning if you were to fill in the hole where the antenna goes, youll still have a big black base left over.

Look at this pic. The top in red is what comes off, the black is what you're left with. That's why people don't get what youre saying.

i don't know if i would want it flat, but i would personally be satisfied with a super ultra stubby antenna that comes out maybe an inch from the base because i just ride around with the antenna off also. but would still like something to cover the hole it leaves. doesn't even have to be a functioning antenna. maybe just a half-a-thumb sized plastic with a screw at the bottom. come to think of it, sounds like somethin i could do myself.

Rooke your right.
i could see how my post was confusing.
i will edit it later.
we are working on it right now as im typing this.
We have already completely removed the red and black part that you have circled and are workin on making a piece that will fill it in.
The hole is actually not as big as the base makes it look, however it is more of an oval shape with a weird indentation.
so were gonna kep workin on it.
maybe ill post pics sometime later this weekend.

I am actually removing my antenna and base this week. I'm going to go to an auto parts store to look for a flat rubber grommet that might fit in the hole. I never use my radio and it looks funny with the new wing i put on. I will let you know how it turns out.

ummm...good luck, we looked everywhere and found nothing.
we made one out of casting resin and cut and filed it down, and it was pretty damn close.
but we abondoned that project for a couple other ones.
maybe well get back to it some other day.
