Hey all, I have a silver tc w/ smoked tails, hid/projectors, and painted my emblems black.. I dunn have much money rite now but id like to do some more stuff to my car, so does anyone have any good idea's of small and inexpensive mods i can do myself?

 

smoke turn signals, 3rd break light, and headlight overlays, oh and paint calipers.

 

Underglow.. Pep Boys has a decent kit that's only like $130 I think.. If that's your kinda thing, that is..

 

LEDs!! Swap all the 194/168 & festoon bulbs with LED replacements from superbrightleds.com. 6-LED 194/168 for the dome/map lights, 5-LED (side blaster) for the license plates, and maybe the single LED for front parking light. And don't forget the #74 cubby hole bulb. Altogther you're gonna spend about $50 and maybe 1/2 hr tops.

 

if your broke. you can't do much. unless you have your own shop and you can fabricate your own parts.

I've had my car for 2 months and have been keeping it real basic. I try to add an small upgrade every 2 weeks or so. All relatively affordable when you compare it to a wheel upgrade or FI, so far I have added:

- s2000 antenna
- LEDS for interior dome and reading lights
- Razo shift **** and pedals
- Halo Superwhite bulbs
- Injen CAI (the most expensive post-factory mod so far)
- TWM Stage 2 shifter (which just came in today)

 

Save your money and save up for something worth doing.

 

im done with my outside for the time being..best thing is saving for the big mod...

im in the savings for my supercharger :D

The best cheap mods I've done is a shorty antenna about $15 and silver front turn bulbs about $15. Oh, painted brake calipers about $5. Inside the best have been the OBX pedals about $30, blue LED dome lights about $15, the best is the gauge/HVAC LED swap which can be about $40 if you can do it yourself or about $80+ for someone else.

man.. i wish i'm confident enuff to do the LED swap myself.... but i dont even really know what soldering is =(

 

 

There's no soldering required for the simple LED swaps like the dome lights... that stuff is really easy, there's an excellent write up on it

 

i agree with save for something big.
