I have been considering purchasing the ebay projectors, and I havent seen anyone with the chrome set as of yet. Does anyone have any pics of a darker colored Tc with them. I have a FM Tc and want to see what they look like on.

 

IMHO, they will not look good! Im not a fan of the ebay ones! very cheap looking!

 

dude just check ebay they have a ____ load of chrome projector headlights

 

I know what hey look like by themselves, I want to see what they look like on an actual Tc. I have seen only one pair of chrome ones on a silver tc and thats it. I like the way chrome lights look for ex. new saabs

Thanks rolstc for the pic I would really like to see what they look like in daylight though. Also, to everyone that owns ebay projectors, have you had any problems with condensation inside the headlight? I have heard only a few people say that it has happened to them, and want to see if all these headlights have this problem.

You're better off spending a little extra money and get a product with better quality rather than getting the eBay ones, that's what I did. I got my projectors from TheModCity. There's a group buy going on now, here's the link:

Are these not the same ebay projectors just bought by themodcity and thats why they sell them at their price which is almost $100 more then the ones on ebay? They would then be the same quality correct?

 

^^ yea its the same ****. just make sure the ebay projectors have vertex racings logo somewhere.

How do you change out the LEDs in the eyebrow of these lights. And what type do you use? Anyone know?

 

yeap.. TheModCity, says his are "better" but people will say anything to sell thier products.. he sells the same projectors they sell on ebay, but blows some smoke up your a$$ so you'll buy his for a hefty $100 profit.

IMO, the only way to get a good set of -real- projectors in a tc is to retrofit... heck if your going to spend the money, GO BIG OR GO HOME!

 

i bought the chrome ones also and just installed them today. fitment was kind of an issue with one side not lining up but did the best i could. halos arent super bright but noticeable. anyone know what size the bulb is in the projector and if you can change it to a bluish-white color. i used to have that color and now it feels like stock all over again.

 

Please post pics SCIONtific_tC! How long did it take for the install? And I believe you can buy Silverstars for the bulbs as long as they are H1. Keep us updated with any condensation issues if they arrive.

Well I am definitely going to buy the chrome projectors now. Not that particular set, but I think the contrast of the chrome against the flint mica will look good. I get to order them next week so I will post pics whenever i get them.

 

I have a question. With these lights, when u have only the angel eyes on, does that eyebrow light come on too? Because i would liek it only if the angel eyes were on.
