anyone have KYO heavy dutu wiring harnesses?
im thinking of getting the PIAA plasma gt-x bulbs just cause i dont want to throw down 400 for some HIDs and then getting the projectors retrofitted. so, instead of frying my wiring i think id like to protect them by getting beefyer harnesses.. anyone had any experience with these harnesses(or these bulbs by any chance?) they are supposed to hold to 85w..the bulbs are 55 which is only 5 over the stock current. also for the high beams im thinking about Luminics JDM yellow...ive heard these are most notorious for chewing up your harnesses.. but since they are high beam and not often used should i buy the harness?
thanks in advance

the harness is fine if you just dont over use them. my friend left his low beams on during the day for like at least a month and had to send them back to luminics for a replacement. but theyre safe. i wouldnt use them for high beam because the high beam harness is meant to hold so much wattage.

i drive with my low beams on all the time. i have nokyas. and they fried my stock harness. i upgraded to the heavy duty harness, and those also melted. i finally relayed my lights, and they are fine.

when i relayed my lights, i used heavy duty harnesses just to be sure. i used 10 gauge amp wiring for all the wires, it was more than enuff. it made my lights brighter and they dont get hot any more. search for it, i think ive seen. (btw i only relayed my low beams, so ignore the parts for the high beams) this is where i got the instruction to do it: http://www.humanspeakers.com/audi/headlight-simple.htm

My piaa super plasma gtx's are good I've had them for 6 months now ...don't buy the luminic yellows in the high beams...they are horriable and they will fry your wires...look at my profile for pics
