I saw a picture on cardomain with an RS 2.0 with the upper grill painted black, looked great especially with the carbon fiber hood. Did anyone attempt this yet? Because im going with different wheels soon either black or gunmetal so i want to get rid of all the silver in the front. Any tips on painting mesh grills because the center is metal instead of plastic, so would you need a prep coat of some kind or just a few coats of spray paint? Unless someone wants to trade their black FIG grills for my factory RS2 grills....

 

If you do change the color have it powder coated so it wont chip my RS1.0 grill all the paint chiped off so I painted it and then clear bra ed it but you cant do clear bra on your grill

Don't do it!

Somebody on here will trade you for it, you can have it powdercoated, or go aftermarket.

Paint is just going to give you headache.

 

just sell the grill and then buy a grill on ebay or keep yours for later if you want to sell the car. Dont ruin a good grill.
