2 quick questions for my08tc

so all you did is just swap the oe projector with the lexus rx330.

could you have used tsx or infiniti fx projectors too?

Go ahead and flame me for this question but why did you use the other projectors for the Lexus..........are they better quality.......I have never seen them in person to compare so I figured I would ask........did they fit right in with little to no problems........and what is the benifit of the D2 bulbs over other HID bulbs........?????

well I heres a pic of the light output from a real HID thats in my car, and then others can post up theres to compare. I guarantee mine are better than all kits in any non oem projector. Better as in more light, wider, brighter(but not blinding because of the cutoff) and last longer also. Theres really nothing going for the kits, beside ease of install(and blind). Here ya go.

And mind you, this is a 3 megapixel camera phone with no adjustable features!!!

hmm, if u want an opinion from someone who knows what they are talking about <----(me obvious XD)... i'd say Anzo's projectors are definitely better than most aftermarkets as well as the new 08's lights

You may think it flares out alot for the left side of the cutoff... however, if u look closely... it's blurred out dramatically above the cutoff line. Even though it flares out abit, i think it's pretty safe for the roads. Besides, since you should technically lower it just a bit, that extra flare will allow those who are driving on the left lane side see u. You do not know how many times people on on my left hand side couldn't see me at night time due to their blind spot. My tsx projectors are aimed a bit higher than usual... allowing people to see my lights a bit off their mirrors even when i am at their blind spot.

if i had to rate the projectors of anzos... i'd give it a 7.5/10 for it is made for halogen, yet the output is better than most aftermarkets. Please aim correctly when doing anything with the lights! and Drive safely!

ughh.... i know im bumping a hella old topic, but now I am torn between the anzos and the OEM projectors...

first i really thought i wanted the OEM, and then it was for sure the anzos....

Depending on my choice, either of them would be torn apart and painted SW to match my tc. I know the OEM are just that, oem, so you know the quality is awesome, but man, the anzos are slick lookin

If you're already going to open up the headlights, just fix the cutoff on the anzo and use those. The LEDs and the halos are amazing.

Retrofit > 08 OEM > Anzo

The cutoff on the Anzos is terrible, as seen in the pictures on page 1. Plus those halos and LED eyebrows are notorious for going out. Plus from the looks of it, the Anzos almost look like they point inward some, preventing a nice flood of light.

so if im guna customize the cut off like the guy did with the sheet metal...do both projectors have to be cut with the same exact pattern and angle or do i just fix the cut off from the left projector only?

I like the anzo's, and I would tint the eyebrow, and disconnect the eyebrow leds. If I knew how to seal back up the headlights, I would go ahead and fix the projectors and add clear corners.

wow the anzo cutoff is horrible.

and the anzos are rice....

halos are only for bmw's.

anyways if you buy the oem 08 projectors and try to put it on any lower model you will need a h11 wire harness and also h11 bulbs instead of 9006.

so oem all the way. you get what u pay for.

^^^ if they cannot melt using Halogens then it's highly unlikely HID will melt them.

Halogens run A LOT HOTTER than HIDs.

You won't need a harness the harness is exactly the same. but the bulbs are different that's all. Some reason H11 and 9006 has same sockets. It's just different install sockets to put into the headlights.

So, to get a better cutoff out of the Anzo projector, what are your options?

Also, is it possible to take out the curcuit board in the eyelids and just use 194 bulbs in their place? <--assuming of course you wire everything up correctly.

And catalepsicfox, you're saying the H11 and 9006's are the same socket? Thats weird.
