What do you mean, not use the adaptor?

I have these tail lights. You take all the wiring off your stock ones. Pull the bulbs out of the stock harnesses. Plug the LED wiring in to the sockets of the factory plug. Make sure that you have them in there right or they will not light up. Then take the reverse buld and socket and twist it into the socket. Take the tailinght back over to the car, plug back in the stock harness, reinstall tailights. Check all the wiring make sure nothing is pinche, tighten back up the 3 10mm bolts and check all the lights. Reinstall rear bumper and stock wire cover in the hatch area and you are set.

I thought the taillight would be plug and play lolz... So the oem taillight would be rendered useless because of the wires??? Another question is will it involve cutting the wires or just pop all those adapters off the oem taillight??? thanks

The stock tailight will be fine. You are just taking the wires out of it. When you ever put the stock back on you just take the wires out of the ANZO one and put it back on the stock. I had to cut some of mine, but mine where the proto's I was told. So you should have a production set and there is no cutting at all involved. Took me about 10 minutes to do. I did it at SEMA in front of everyone so I had to do it quick.. LOL..

yes you take the whole harness off the stock ones. Take it over to the ANZO and start plugging in all there wires right into the sockets and you are done. Easy as that.

Yup, I can attest to that. Once you figure out which goes where, it's not that hard. Heck, My dad and I opened the bumper, installed the taillights, and put back the bumper with almost no instructions and we did fine. =)

May I hijack the thread and ask where you guys are getting your taillights from? They look really nice!

That is the turn signal one. I thought mine was the only one that had that since it is a proto set. You need to crimp that black wire to the ground side of the turn signal wires.

thats how mine was only on the passenger side. i had to solder a piece of 12v wire to the connector and then spliced it to the other wire. wasnt really that hard...just thought it was broken.

I mounted mine right inside the light area on the metal paneling. Fit nice on there and had plety of wire to pull the light out and disconnect it if needed.
