So what exactly are "APT Fogs" I have heard them referred to as "eBay Fogs" but I do a search for "APT Fogs" and nothing turns up...Is APT an actual company with a website or something to by from or what is the deal?

I have seen many different sellers selling these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-07...ht_3488wt_1167) and they look pretty legit, can anyone let me know what I should be looking for and where if I want fog lights that are not VRDs but want something similar and good.

So they are the eBay "version" of the VRD fogs. Well not even the "version" but the brand of the VRD fogs sold on eBay. VRD = APT.

The ones you linked to are the other generic crap. Not VRD or APT. They're junk.

 

APT is jus VRD, when u buy them on ebay they come in the VRD box and everything.

 

VRD makes foglights that you have probably seen from a manufacturer named APT. APT decided to sell it independently for cheaper instead of the increased price so basically they are the same fogs just cheaper. EBAY FOGS are the ones you linked to which are crap. EBAY VRDS are people referring to APT fogs which you can purchase on ebay

It seems the only difference between the "knockoffs" and the "APT/VRDs" are the horizontal silver bars...Real having 3 and the fake having like 6...Is this a good assumption ?

If you look at the pictures I asked about and look at VRDs WEBSITE the picture is EXACTLY the same as is the MODEL #....Am I missing something?

judging from those, i guess you have the right VRD foglights on the link you posted, however, those are not the popular ones that most people have here.

the ones most people have are no longer listed on the VRD website. They are the ones i posted in my link before (currently being sold by APT.auto on ebay). but yeah, when people refer to "VRD or APT" fogs, theyre most likely referring to the one in the link i posted, not the ones you had posted. thats probably whats causing confusion.

All of those are eBay....they don't look as good as the VRD/APT style "everyone likes". For $100 you can grab the APT's off eBay.

 

The only difference between APT's and VRD's are the fog light switch. VRD's come with the factory fog light switch, APT's come with a "factory-style" fog light switch but it isn't the factory fog light switch. Everything else is exactly the same.
