ARRRRGH why won't my passenger side HID's illuminate? HELP!
Finally putting some HID's on the tC....I go to install them and the driver's side works fine, but the passenger's side refuses to illuminate. I switched out both ballasts and both bulbs to the driver's side, and they all work. The passenger's side will still light up a normal halogen bulbs (Sylvania Silverstar if it matters) but it won't light off my HID. I've tried using conductive gel and splicing a new connector on, with the same result. Halogens on both sides work, HID's on the passenger side do not. No fuses blown, ballasts are good, bulbs are good, connections are good, but the passenger side is just fighting the mod :D What do I do?
try the pass side setup with the driver side connection, and if it lights then it has something to do with how its connected, if it doesnt, then atleast one of the components on the pass side hid setup is bad.
The setup doesn't have a separate ground, I'm not running relays (just PnP for now) and
I did. I did both ballasts and both bulbs and all possible combinations thereof, and they always lit, but only on the driver side. However, both sides will still light regular halogen bulbs. So basically, it's not the ballasts, because they both work. It's not the bulbs, because they both still light. It's not the car's wiring because it will still light a normal halogen bulb. I'm beginning to get quite frustrated....

do you have a tcs friend who can help you with ? or find relatives that have 9006 low beam and try.
Your problem sounds like mine. When I got the car back from body shop. put back kit, but the passenger didnt light up. So I switched the wiring from the bulb connected with the stock harness on that side only, it worked ! Give it another shot man

I had a similar problem to yours and I found that The OEM plug wouldn't go all the way in to the Ballast. My kit came with a harness that connects to the OEM female plug. I cut some of the plastic casing from the relay narnesses male connector so it fits into the OEM female Plug. I found out this was the problem after I had all my connections secure and my halogens were working with the OEM plugs, check it out, this might be it.

I'll try putting the kit back on the BMW (or our Accord for that matter, which also uses 9006 lowbeams) tonight. I don't think it'll work, though. Would a relay harness help me? I really don't feel like dropping any more money on this...
Maybe, but I don't know how to make it exactly. Here is a pic of it. I know Cliff ships them out the same day he gets paid so don't wohttps://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=152060&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=40rry about waiting, plus they are good quality harnesses.
