The Aurora Garnish UPDATE - Release Date unknown but soon.
It looks like nothing much but keep in mind the surface shape is all that counts, the inside walls and the back edge doesn't matter because the only thing that will be shaping the light at the end will be the top edge and thats it. I didn't finish the COM because I don't want it there anymore. I'm just going to fill it up and finish the edges of the lettering.
The way I was going to do it is fill it with resign and put a LED strip behind it but now heres how I'll do it.
Ill be using individual LEDs to light the letters or images. I'm not sure how I'll distribute it. I'll probobly have them spaced behind the image so its not hard light in one area and soft next to it.
The way I'll be covering the surface is I'll have a company create a mold the shape of the garnish in a very thin acrylic clear plate. It will be attached to the top of the garnish and molded all around so its flush with the rest of the garnish and car. If your worried about it not being levle with everything els dont worry because you wont notice. I will have the sheets made as thin if not thinner than a credit card. The thinner the better and there will be no chance of poking through accidentally with your finger because I'll have clear resign backing it to create a seal between the image and the thin layer of acrylic.

There you go Nebster, I expect you to be the first on the list to order this thing since you've been monitoring it like crazy. Great ideas always take time. You rush it, you get crap as a product!
Thanks for the positive feedback OpTiMi5t. Glad you've been patient. when orders go on sale, I'll be posting up a video of when I head down to LA. If anyone is in the LA area and wants to see the initial prototype, PM me.
