Default bBist CF Hood

Does the bBist CF Hood have the pre-drilled windshield nozzle thingies? I was lookin at the Seibon I think and it says that it doesn't have it and the bBist is a lil cheaper and I like the way it looks anyone have any info? Thanx.

That's kewl. I would like to relocate them onto the wipers themselves but I don't have the time to do that lol. I'll just email bBist about it and ask them.

maybe you could order it with them already drilled, so when you get it all ya have to do is swap, they might charge you a lil extra for it, but they seem like a good enough company with the skillz to do so.

Yea I could ask them that couldn't I. Hmm never thought of that thanx man. I'm hopin to be able to order it this coming new year so I'll have it for next car show season. Wonder how much they'll charge if I want them to drill it for me? I'd rather them do it since they work on the hoods lol instead of me screwin it up like I normally do stuff lol. Eh I'll call tomorrow after class and find out.

cool , ya i might be getting the kaminari hood, cuz i have some damage on mine i am getting fixed, but the body shop guy said the stock hood cant be fixed where i have the dent
. anyways the kaminari is cheaper than what they would charge for the stock hood so im going to see if it all works out

I got the Kaminari vented hood and i love it the carbon fiber is real clean and tightly woven! the quality and fitments it PERFECT! and it came un-drilled on the washers and i was close to drilling it till i noticed it not a perfect circle it like a circle with 2 half squares on the end! (hope i not confuse ya) but ya don't look fun or easy to drill and im not buying a 800$ hood to mess it up! so then i look a relocating them to the grill/vent part were the rain water drain! i gave it some test shots while holding it in place and just was not fitting my needs so i said forget them all together and i have had my hood over 5 months now and not yet needed the washers and if you do there is a gas station on every conner to use the window cleaner! lol but ya that my short story! love the hood though!

lol nice story, ive never heard of a Q-trip? lol, anyways i will not be getting the karbon fiber kaminari, even tho i love carbon fiber I will most likely ket the FRP, this being because of rock chips, its easier to fix on a painted hood than a carbon fiber hood

haha wow I read that over and i need to slow down when i type so many mistakes lol!

it a gas station!

but ya i can see your point! at the same time if you put a good clear coat on the carbon fiber a small rock wont do much at all a bigger one could scratch it but in this case you would wet sand and re clear coat! cheaper then paint and clear coat! but I have had 2 cars with carbon fiber hoods and over 2 years of driving with them in all weather and not a problem or a chip yet! my window always gets it first =(

Hey my seibon hood came with the nozzle holes, but it was only through the CF layer and not the underside. I had to drill through it and mod it a bit.

iheartzombies, it came drilled on the CF side? Man thats odd. On the Seibon site it says that it doesn't come pre-drilled. You think they started drilling them and didn't change the site? Or stopped pre-drilling altogether? How hard was it to mod through? JW since I've heard alot from Seibon's good quality. BTW this is turbo_tc from ScionSmoke lol.

The hood was awesome and fit like a glove with a very tight weave. I didn't think they had the nozzle holes either but to my surprise they did.

They drilled them atop but it was blocked by the fiberglass skeleton underneath. All I had to do was take a Skill Drill and go directly down into the nozzle hole, then open up the hood and kinda chip away with the drill untill the opening was enough to get the hose through.

Also the nozzle holes werent big enough and I had to evenly chip away at it untill the nozzles went in.

Overall it wasnt that hard I had my dad helping me and we did a clean job.

Im gonna have some pics up soon and Ill show you where I drilled.

edit: Wanted to add that It's extremely rare to find an aftermarket part that is molded from OEM that fits perfect. You will mostly always have to do some modification to it.

and the bbist c/f hood is prolly the best quality you are gonna get for a c/f hood. its relatively cheap, and its double sided
