Having a specific idea of what I want, and then not being able to find a company that actually produces it is real "poser."

Thanks for your negativity, but I don't want it and it isn't needed here.

Thanks for the good wishes.

Doing it myself is definitely an option, yes.

Who said we drove Bentleys?
well your the one looking for a "bentley style" grill which in no way would look presentable on a tC but what ever floats your boat

Give me a break... looking for a "Bentley style" grill because I simply like how they look, AND think that it COULD look decent on a tC is not saying "I drive a Bentley." A grill is simply a grill...nothing more.
Now, if I wanted a big "B" emblem on the front, that would be a different story.
I MS Painted some examples onto a couple tC pics, and it actually doesn't look half bad... and that's using MS Paint. If it were actually real and molded into the grill, I'd like how it looked on the car and it would "float my boat."
I'll attach the pics for ____s and giggles (and probably negativity) when Photobucket stops performing site maintenance.

so you'd prefer something that looks half bad to something that actually looks good...

I'm not sure if my post wasn't clear enough for you or if you're just trying to create e-drama, so I'll clarify.

I mean the lame MS Paint example that I whipped up in 10 seconds doesn't look half bad IMO. Like I said, if it were REAL and actually molded into the grill, I think it would look whole good.

You can get some VRD grills and then fab up a piece to make that centerline. Not my cup of tea but it's your car bro. Do what you think looks good. And if you end up not liking the center thing, then you can take it off and just have the VRDs

I think it looks better with split grill on top and plain grill on bottom...
but with the vertical split, I like the grills with the bigger holes...

If I imagine it as if it were real and didn't have the odd factor of being put on with MS Paint... I think it would look good. Alas, being a bit on the lazy side, I'll probably never custom make it myself.

hmmmm.... maybe the large holes w/ vertical center split on top & the unsplit, smaller hole grill on bottom would look cool.... hmmmmmmm....

i guess if u really want that vertical line u could buy the VRD and do-it-yourself. get a chrome piece of metal or duct tape it to the center

im not sure if his post was clear enough for you...

poser, is attempting to be something that you arent. like the tC's that are going jdm, or the ones wanting to mimic a bentley.

but it is something you like, so go for it.

definitely requires a DIY. Way before the VRD grilles came out, I pm'ed a couple of ebay sellers selling the Bentley grilles and none of them could point me in the direction to get a custom cut of the mesh, so I went with RS2 grilles but couldn't find the bottom piece....anyways, I eventually bought the VRDs. I have the frame and trim pieces from the upper RS2 grille because I used the mesh for my CF vented hood, so if you need those pieces to mount your mesh on let me know!

Umm, also that line in the Bentley grill's matches the body line that car has on it's hood, where as a tC doesn't have that body line, so, it would look horrible, as do your photoshops.

what you want and what everyone has been saying is the VRD grill, which is the closest you'll get but without the center line, why you want a center line on a car without a matching body line, i couldn't figure out, so if you want it, go ahead, but I think it looks totally out of place, it isn't just because it's off a Bentley, but any car that has a similar piece with no matching body line would look odd.

Don't worry about why I want it. I said I want it. You need not understand or even know of my reasons.

You posted nothing that wasn't already said by other people.

I made it quite clear. I think it could look good, and once again, that is all that matters.

Bentley without center body line:

ok I'm sorry we're telling you the product that most closely resembles what you want, and that means from there you can mod it to be *exactly* what you want, you don't need to have an attitude about it, geez...

No... I won't be adding any "SCION" on my car. If I wanted to advertise what make it is, I'd leave the stock badges on... which I plan to take off.
The only point of me posting that last pic was to debunk the theory of "the only reason for the vertical split in grill is because there is a center body line." I didn't say a tC looks like any Bentley. Never did I say anything even remotely close.

I'm gonna let this thread die now, or whatever happens to it.
Thanks to those who actually offered helpful information and weren't here to just flame and argue opinions. (which is a retarded thing to do anyway)

The title of the thread is clear. I'm still not sure why haters come into threads that they have no interest in... oh yeah, because they're haters. lollll. Just kidding. I love everyone.

Everybody says "Do what you want, Its your car" and then continue to rip him. Give the guy a break, maybe it will go with his theme when hes done, i dunno.

Sure looks good on the Bentley though.
