Default black out my grill

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to take off that tc grill cause I plan on blacking it out.
Another thing, the guy at advanced autoparts was telling me I should sand paper the grill first. Is this true ?
Thanks Yall

if you want the paint to stick, you should sand it. but in my opinion save up and get the fig. I just bought mine and it looks amazing.

If you want a black grill that looks sick and fits jsut like the stock one get the vrd grill. I have one and its awesome. Its really easy to get the stock one out if you take the front bumper off and use a little imagination. And if your going to paint your stock one personally... I would sand it as well.

I have the FigLLC grill, but the sanding from the winter trucks has ruined some certain parts of it, so im pretty much in the same boat as you...i need to repaint it gloss black again

I think he's lookin for a low-buck mod-done right [thumbs-up]

Just prime it first, it'll be fine without sand.

Still didn't hear details on r&r (remove & replace)

No the stock grill is more of a gray-ish... lol. To install the grills its probably a lot easier to just take off the front bumper. Maybe if I have time this weekend Ill do a write-up if you really want it.

you can take them off without taking off the bumper. just stick your hand in there, and push firmly from the outside where the clips are, you can see them if you look from the back. once its loose, you can angle it out then the bottom ones easy, just reach from underneath the car or where the top one was and do the same thing.

I don't doubt its not hard... I just pulled my bumper off to install my foglights anyways so I did them both at the same time. Cake with the bumper removed <3
