Default Black Sand Pearl with mirror tints, hmmm...

Ok, I need some help here deciding a few things...

I recently got a Black Sand Pearl TC and I'm wondering how mirror tints would look on my baby. I saw one recently with 5% and it kinda took away from the innovative window design having the entire car jet black like that. If mirrors don't look good, I'm probably going to just tint the hatchback and leave the rest clear. If anyone has a photo of a Black Sand Pearl with mirror tints please share a it. The white one above in the header rocks with dark tints, so possibly the mirrors will look good.

Your tint looks great, but around where I live, its a cop magnet. I wish I could get 5%, but dont want to draw any extra attention to myself.

Yea I gotta say no mirror either. Put it this way, mirror tint is almost as bad as "altezza" style taillights.

i just get 35% mirror tint for max (legal in hi) heat rejection. isn't that what tint is for anyway? the factory glass, especially front doors, supposedly blocks UV but lets the heat stream in. now it is only the light.

Yes that is the "logical" reason to get window tint. That is one of the reasons I got mine, the other two are: 1) I live in an appartment complex and i dont like people being able to see whats in my car and 2) I think it looks great on my SW TC. I have 20% and I get enough stares as it is from cops, I can only imagine the attention you would get from having Mirror tint on your windows.

There are a couple of valid points to having mirror tint. Especially if you live in a HOT ___ place where you want your car to stay cool. And for security reasons. But if the person is trying to do it for looks? Then they might as well go to GI JOE'S and buy every APC thing that's on display.

I have 35% all around and it works good for my needs. Keep in mind that the tC has a black interior, which makes tint jobs look darker in my opinion. Basically it is a black tint over a black background. It helps with getting that dark look while maintaining legallity.
