Bodykit Installation $$$
What did those of you who have had a bodykit installed (not trd) pay for a full price for the whole installation?
I'm curious because I have had this bodyshop install my kaminari front bumper because my stock bumper was trashed in an accident. ( insurance money ;o )
Hes quoting me 1000-1200$ for the sideskirts and rear bumper installed. He also said it took him 10 1/2 hours to fit the front bumper.
but yea, if anyone could let me know what they paid, or if its a reasonable price? it doesnt seem it to me since i bought the kit for less then what he wants to install it, then again i dont know the work invovled.

to install a body kit?!
thats outrageous. i cant imagine it costing too much to just install a kit and then 10 1/2 hours to install just a front bumper i say that guy is full of it. if i was you i would go to a different shop. i personally have done tons of custom body work with fiberglass and what not so i do speak from personal experience that you are getting ripped off. is your bumper urethane or fiberglass?

so shocked you were overcome by a sudden fit of studdering!
j/k
but yeah getting these things done RIGHT, is not cheap by any means, but then it is sometimes cheaper than replacing stock.
hope you the best with your "project"!

yup paint changes a lot .. i think thats not a bad price but shop more.. at least $1000 or less would be a good price...
hey boostedscion any suggestions here in cali how much it would cost to be put on and painted.. i would fit it my self if its cheaper.. i havent searched around other shops here locally but just curious incase i go towards the body kit route.

Its best to have the bodyshop fit it... They know what they are doing... Avg price in cali to get a kit fitted and painted and reinstalled.... $900
I got my xb done for $400 but that was a friend...

Believe me that's a very fair price. I am a bodyman by trade and I've put quite a few kits on, including my last car. If that price he's quoted you includes paint, then you're getting an AWESOME deal. I'd almost be questioning why it wasn't more money, make sure they're a reputable company. I hope it turns out well, I can't wait to see it!
