Default Can't get it off

the 2 silver plastic piece's on the steering wheel i wanted to paint them black like the rest of my interior but i couldint get them off and can't find any diy on here help any one?

You need to take out the two torx screws on each side of the steering wheel, pull out the air bag, and then you will see the screws for the plastic pieces.

great title...and yea you have to take off the 2 torx screws on the 2 sides of the steering wheel, take the airbag out and then... you will see the screws that is holding them on...

you dont need to disconnect anything to remove the silver pieces.

You can leave the air bag plug in, same with the battery.

yeah... after you loosen the torx screws.. just pull the airbag out... no need to disconnect the airbag..

thus, no need to disconnect the battery.

get some wire cutters or something small to cut the ziptie holding the radio control plug in
(after you loosen the one big screw there and slowly wiggle the thing straight out)

the other side is just a screw holding it in.

you dont have to unplug the battery but its a good idea if only because you are going to be pressing on the horn while prying off the front panel.

by accident though? possibly...
