im bout to purchase a cf hatch from bbist.com Has anyone ever purchased from here, or does anyone have a cf trunk if SO, did you use different hydraoulic lifts or what? please help!

 

there is nothing hydraulic on the tc. but yes you'll need lighter load bearing struts.

 

do you know where i can get lighter load bearing struts for the tc?

u cannnnn use the stock ones but i noticed a gap with struts on so i dont have any on, kept them off

so... how does your hatch stay open?

 

it doesnt, i have subs back there and i rarely open the hatch

 

id pay the 65 bucks to maintain the hatches functionality... even though i dont have a trunk to use... its nice to open it and have it open

nah dude, go with bbist. there quality is superb. i heard some bad things about motor fx. call bbist and talk to lisa and tell her that the twins with the cf widebodies sent you and she will take care of you. good luck!

 

he can do both... get a bbist hatch and the struts from motor fx...

 

I used the original struts on the cf hatch and i dont have any type of gap or anything lol..only thing bad about having the cf hatch is if you have any type of sub..that thing vibrates like crazy if the speakers are faced towards it

 

u can still use the glass from the stock one right?

 

you can, but they are so strong that they make the glass shoot up and when you shut it, it forces a gap between the rear fenders and the hatch itself

 

how much did it cost to get the glass installed on the CF hatch
