I am thinking about adding a carbon fiber hood on my tC, but before I spend the money and time I would like to hear from those of you who have actually added one. How is the fit and finish, what brand is the best, how hard is the install....things like that? Any information and pictures would be greatly appreciated.

 

I still didnt buy one for my tc but i would go with VIS i bought one for my eclipse and it was an excelent fit

And your reasons why?

 

I have the VIS hood on my tC and also have sold the Kaminari. All of my customers have been happy with both hoods. VIS fits straight, I put it on in like 10 minutes if that with one of my partners. Just a slight amount of gap on either side, but not much more than stock at all. Finish is great and have not nad any problems. Kaminari also high quality, you can see pics of two I sold in another thread.

I have seen a racing solution in person, great looking hood. Thinking about getting one myself now.

 

Well I ordered my hood from VIS through a dealer here in town. Should be here next week. As soon as I get it installed I will post pics.

 

are the VIS ones single or double sided?

 

I was told it was double sided with rolled edges. All OEM latches and a fiberglass frame. I have never purchased anything without first looking at it, so I hope I am not disappointed.

if you got the money i say go for it. i have yet to see a tC with a CF hood driving around. Id get one to if i had the money for it.

 

If I had a tC i would have the bBist cf hood and rear hatch. If you want a rear hatch w/ an integrated spoiler Fiber FX has one also. Racing Solutions has some really nice stuff also.
