Default Carbon Fiber hood and Redline Tuning gas hood lift?

anyone have this combo? ive got a Redline Tuning hood lift with my stock hood, my CF hood will be installed in the next week or so... i know people stopped using the lift because of CF, but does anyone have the lift (or any gas lifts) with their cf hood? any issues? i really like my lift and dont wanna go back to stock...

Edit: just found this sale, https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=200479 may be the answer i need, but still would like to find some who uses the redline tuning strut, or had to get rid of it...

from what i have heard and seen is from closing the CF hoods is that you have to drop it with some pressure or push down on it to close correctly so with the gas shocks you just lower it and put pressure on it as if it was a stock hood which you can't do with a CF hood. although yeah you can still do it that way but it also saids on there site "for use with OEM hood".

well you should know that motorfx doesn't have a good rep but that always happens with alot carbon fiber stuff which is why i won't get anymore at all.

I wouldnt reccomend it. When I had my kaminari put in, the shop took offthe redline hood lift from the stock hood and didnt want to put it on the CF. They said I can if I want, but they didnt wan to be responsible or it. They said the pressure when open and the pressure when closed could wap the hood, and it would make fitment on that side off a tad.

He reccomended getting softer shocks and putting them on both sides.
