Default Carbon Fiber look paint or airbrush

I've seen a bunch of cars with parts of their bumpers done in carbon fiber...i know its not real, so it has to be painted or airbrushed on...anyone have any experience with this or know anyone who can do it...hopefully around the north east?

uhhh.. you know it's not real?
really now?

it'd probably be cheaper tor easier to make the part in actual CF or some type of fiberglass weave than painting crap..

for doing my waterfall, gauge cluster, door handles, oh **** handles.. and a few other things in carbon fiber.. i was quoted at $150

curious to see what a full bumper done like this would look like..

It's actually fairly easy to paint a part to look like CF.

Black base coat, get the shelf liner that looks like a checkerboard, have 2 people (1 on each side hold it against the object tight), spray silver down, lift up the shelf liner, wait 20 minutes for the silver to dry, lay the liner back over the silver, slightly move it over to the right and down a bit, spray graphite color down, remove the liner, clear coat, done.

Hey I've been building custom cars for many moons.... so I believe that when I hear of others doing quality work...props are in order.....
so... do you do work on a core basis.....or do people ship you their own, actual parts to be done?

I do both. If I can get spare pieces that are not the originals I'll jump on it. Don't like the idea of interiors, tail lights, etc. missing from others cars and the vehicle not being in working order. Just adds stress to rush the job. Much rather take my sweet time.
