Carbon Fiber look paint or airbrush
I've seen a bunch of cars with parts of their bumpers done in carbon fiber...i know its not real, so it has to be painted or airbrushed on...anyone have any experience with this or know anyone who can do it...hopefully around the north east?

uhhh.. you know it's not real?
really now?
it'd probably be cheaper tor easier to make the part in actual CF or some type of fiberglass weave than painting crap..

http://www.dip-tech.net has done wheels, engine covers, dash, intercooler piping... and all sorts of other stuff for some locals..
for doing my waterfall, gauge cluster, door handles, oh **** handles.. and a few other things in carbon fiber.. i was quoted at $150
curious to see what a full bumper done like this would look like..

Black base coat, get the shelf liner that looks like a checkerboard, have 2 people (1 on each side hold it against the object tight), spray silver down, lift up the shelf liner, wait 20 minutes for the silver to dry, lay the liner back over the silver, slightly move it over to the right and down a bit, spray graphite color down, remove the liner, clear coat, done.

hey...side note bro....do you have access to Toyota/Scion factory paints for the work you do?
Just curious... b/c I heard via another SL thread that you to great work on doing custom paint for peeps....
I've done my own....but dont have access to factory paints.
Thank you! Yes, I have access to any make/model paint....House of Kolors, PPG, RM, Glasuritt, Limco, Auto Air Colors, etc.

so... do you do work on a core basis.....or do people ship you their own, actual parts to be done?
I do both. If I can get spare pieces that are not the originals I'll jump on it. Don't like the idea of interiors, tail lights, etc. missing from others cars and the vehicle not being in working order. Just adds stress to rush the job. Much rather take my sweet time.
