Default carbon fiber vinyl

Do you think it is hot or not if I put carbon fiber vinyl like the picture? Does anyone have a good source for good quality carbon fiber vinyl? Does it look too ricey?

i think if you just had it painted to match your rims it would look better, but even then its not really my style, i think an overlay would stick out too much and look kinda tacky, but whatever, do what you want its your car

Not too bad. It gives it a new Audi/VW look. Do what you like, just keep in mind that opinions are like the a#%holes that spew them. Be different and go for it. Vinyl can be removed it is a little harder to get paint off.

I say do it... if you hate it, take it off... it's a pretty easy process...

Agreed. Try it. If you don't like it, you peel it off and at worst you're out a few bucks.

Personally.. I would only use CF if it was for a good, weight saving reason... and then I would paint it. I certainly dont like the look of it, so I wouldnt get vinyl that looks like it

But it is what you think that matters. And as mentioned you can always take it off if you dont like it.

Give it a shot. Like before, if you don't like it you can remove it without much effort.

Maybe try this stuff:

Only problem is it will look like what it is; vinyl, not CF. I have tried the CF sticker on parts of my tC and it doesn't look that good at all. You can try it if you like. I just wanted to throw that warning out there for you.

IMO fake CF would look ricey on the bumper like that. But if you want the VW/Audi look use vinyl. I've seen someone around town with a bronze-goldish tC with a bumper like that. I don't know if was part of a body kit or just vinyl but it looked OK. Plus, like many people have said already, if you don't like it - peel it off.

The carbon 3 vinyl by decalFX doesn't quite look as realistic as the carbon 2. I've seen the carbon 2 in person, and if you look right up close it looks fake and of course it's not a smooth transition cause it's vinyl, but from a couple feet away, even standing up on the car without your head on it, it's pretty realistic. I didn't have a peice of real CF to compare it to but it fooled me. (was a sheet over the hatch handle peice, like the real CF garnish for $100 less).

IMO, go for it. Worse thing to happen is you don't like it. Hold it up to the car or tape it there, if you don't like it, i'm sure you can find some other use for it.

Yeah I'm working on this same project, but with gloss black vinyl. I'll let you know how it goes.
