Default Changing the front turn signal lights

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.
If I want to change out my front turn signal lights, the ones in the head light, do I have to take out the whole headlight unit it self, or can I just remove the bulb? I'm a noob so bare with me.

Thanks for you input!!

Yeah, it's real easy. Twist, pull, replace bulb.

Nice thats the way it looks. Jsut didn't want to pull and break something. I'm replacing the amber bulb with a bright white led. Thanks for answering my q.

Thats what I read some where too. As long as they are white or Amber in the front and Amber or Red in the back. If they are too bright, I will just put in the stock. And I want to eventually change the mirror lights to white as well. I just have to muster up the ***** first to solder the new LED to the board. Anyone in SoCal wanna help me with that? :D

ya the write up also had like intake, exhaust and window tint permissions and what was not acceptable...

damn california and their laws, "smog free community"

by not allowing moddification of cars is dumb, how many other citys, countries and what not have pollution issues, and by one lil state not allowing it, is going to makea difference??? i think not

It does suck that Cali puts such limitations on what you can do to your car. A co-worker of mine just had a cop MAKE him remove his front tint. Like literally peel it off. He is trying to fight it, but I think he's SOL. F'n cops out here! I mean for god sake, its a turning signal light or tint on a window, not like we are out shooting people. Atleast we are using our time and money constructively. Ha, my GF thinks i'm stupid for doing N E thing to my car. Women Ok, rant over.

I have had white blinker bulbs up front for quite some time and have had no issues switching lanes behind cops or turning while they are coming at you....whether it is illegal or not just do it who cares it's a freaking light bulb...swap it out get the ticket signed off switch it back...NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!!!! Window tint, I have got ticketed for, but got that written off luckily..

Turn signals must be white or amber on the front, and red or amber on the rear in Caliornia [24953 VC].
