Cheap..BUT Nice..Kayak Roof Rack for tC? Any Suggestions?
I've inherited a few kayaks this past year and everyone on the east coast knows that the weathers beginning to look a little nicer now that spring is on its way. So in order to take full advantage on these yaks I need to find an affordable roof rack system. I've done a few searches on here and I saw a few people with the yakima racks. Any other good ones out there with a decent price tag..around 250 or below? Pics TOO....show em off if ay got um...Thanks Guys n Gals
I think Yakima is the only one who makes a rack for the tC. I've been looking into this too to hold my surfboards but I think it might be a bit more expensive for kayaks. I went onto Yakima and my price was around $400. However, you might be able to find a used rack and then just buy the kayak attachments off of Yakima.
lol. New mine would have been over $700 for the base system, faring, two Steelhead trays, wheel carriers and locks.
I got it all for $150. Used FTW!
I also have a cargo basket and the load brackets for lumber, pipes, ladders, etc.
I also have enough extra parts that I might be able to piece together a base system (Q Towers and crossbars) minus the correct clips for the tC if anyone is interested.
