Wanted to know if drilled slot rotors could be dipped or painted in chrome?

yeah they can... but it wouldn't be practical. The chrome is only a coating, as such it would eventually wear off because of the pad rubbing against it when you stop.

someone correct me if im wrong, but chrome is very smooth hence the mirror-like look of it. very smooth means your pads have less friction thus less stoping power.

Only if you plan on never driving it again.

The chrome coating would come off very quickly once you drove your car. Since rotors are desgined to wear down, and be machined to obtain a flat surface when you change your brakes, it would'nt be very wise to do it.

Plus as someone mentioned it is a very slippery surface, so you would have next to nothing for braking power.

But if it's for a show car only, it can be done. Though it would be rather expensive, depending on if you painted it, or actually chrome plated it. Paint is cheap, chrome plating is expensive no matter what your plating.

Dear God,
Please allow this lost soul to find their way in the world of vehicle modification. It is blatantly clear that he knows not what he asks. Be with him as his journey continues and lead him not into a ricer nation, but deliver him from cheesy mods that have no business being on a tC. Teach him how his car works Father, and show him that he too can have a nice car without getting in the zone at Autozone. It's in your heavenly name I pray.
Amen!
