so it feels like he's got Xray vision try plexiglass and low heat it to mold but maybe put clear vinyl over it so it doesn't scratch. just a thought but not for me

I think rvpps2rocks is asking about the smoked fuel doors on the xB(s). There's no need to flame him for wanting something you other people may find unusual. Isn't that part of Scion? "What Moves You"...that's a very personal statement. You five people who decided to jump on him for wanting to be unique should be ashamed of yourselves. Who gives a *** what you think anyway.

rvpps2rocks, I do not think they make one for the tC because that is a Toyota JDM piece for the xB. The tC was never produced in Japan, so I doubt you will have any luck finding what you are looking for. You may have to fabricate one using plexiglass and then putting a smoke overlay on it. Also to let you know the kit for the xB(s) comes with a chrome fuel cap cover so that it shows through better.

Actually, I was very lucky. Some of the people in my family were not. Thanks for being insensitive about that though.

Lord, grow a layer of skin.
If you think those are flames, then you oughta leave now.
That's barely a match in here...

the clear fuel doors are made by TRD...

they don't have one for the tC that i know of... but at the top of my head... they've done celi's and xB's...

but to compliment the showing off part and the bling... is that they have a TRD fuel cap as well.

it's all show points..

I did a quick google search and I thought these were the most helpful:
http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=53294&page=4

AND

Crystal Clear 200, 202 and 204 - for applications that require absolute clarity. They feature a low viscosity system that cures at room temperature with negligible shrinkage to a hard plastic. Cured castings are water white clear, UV stable and will not yellow over time. Vibrant or tint colors are achieved with color pigments. The Crystal Clear Series has Shore 50A and Shore 95A flexible counterparts: Clear Flex 50 and Clear Flex 95.

Crystal Clear 220 - Heat cure resin system that is a harder version of other Cyrstal Clear Series resins that cures to an 85D Shore hardness.
Applications

* Special Effect Models & Props.
* Sculpture Castings
* Decorative Jewelry/Miniatures
* Acrylic Substitute
* Potting/Encapsulation
* Imitation Glass/Ice
* Surface Laminations
* Architectural Models

Its funny how quickly some people flame someone when they aren't even familiar with the product. Some of you would benefit by looking beyond the scope of your tc.
Anyways, imo, these are actually pretty sweet, but as someone mentioned they aren't available for the tc b/c its a jdm part and we all know.... The ones for the 7th gen celicas cost around $200, its not some cheap ricer ****. Here some quick search pics, I'm sure you could find better tho.

I'd love to have one for the tc, I think it looks sharp. Hate on.

Maybe if someone had posted that pic in the beginning, it would have shown what he was talking about.
Personally, the image I had in my head was likely what others thought too - I've seen some bad pieces made/shown on tCs and frankly, to assume the worst was not at all a stretch.

Now as for your pic - that IS a really nice-looking setup.
I don't think I'd drop $200 on it, but my car is a DD, not a show car.

Thanks for posting the pix.

Scion needs to get on the ball and make some of the things that get posted in these forums.
They could make a fortune if they didn't overcharge like crazy for them...

Good luck - that's a pro job and you'd have to be highly skilled and have all the right gear to even get close.
