i was looking into getting basically a clear lens for my taillights, something to match the third brake light, i dont want a cheap LED one, with the little red reflector in them, just OEM style but clear.... does anyone know where i could get a set, or make one...?

 

take the lens off a 08?

 

you can take the lens off the 08's and put it on the earlier tail lights. not sure how it would look, but that is your best bet

uhh. the '07 and earlier models have white light bulbs...

all the red color comes from the outside lens... including the reflector (it's clear on the inside)

aka... you change that out to clear.. you'll be pulled over faster than michael phelps swimming a leg for the 4x100 relay..

you want a clear lens? get the '08 tails.

do it up n paint the back of the reflector red n use red LED bulbs for the brake light. it will look good n be legal

 

and completely pointless...


Why take the RED lens off to just paint the reflector RED and put a clear lens on?
