Default Cloudy Sunday shots

Took some shots today for no particular reason.
All wheel specs in my profile.

My VIS carbon fiber hood is fading.

Flushness

I have the opportunity to get a Greddy DT exhuast for a great price. I've been thinking about hacking off the small pipe near the canister (where it cant be seen), then modifying the large pipe to sit in the center of the bumper opening. I currently have the Greddy SP2, but I'm looking for something different. What do you think?

U should get the DC Sports exhaust like mine!....

i think your better off with the SP2, but you can do the DT and cut off the second smaller pipe like you said and make it a turndown.

also. why is your hood fading? i know you maintain your car?

if you have any intention of selling it anytime, hopefully summer let me know.. i want to pick up a c/f hood.

the hood started to fade because i park under direct sunlight 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. you should always give it a good coat of uv-protective wax if you have to park like me. i dont wash my car very much and I wax it even less, so i'm not surprised this happened.

when VIS first started making hoods (about a decade ago), they were known to fade from the sun. i heard that newer VIS hoods didnt do that anymore, but apparently thats not true. fortunately my hood didnt turn yellow like VIS hoods from 10 years ago LOL.

this is to be expected given my circumstances. i had a Seibon hood on my 240SX, and it did the same thing. prolonged exposure to direct sunlight will fade the resin on the hood and turn it yellow.

got a Greddy DT yesterday and hacked off the small pipe today. i'm still able to use the plug on the small pipe, but its just out of view now. i'll install later this week.

based on this photo from cardomain, the large pipe should sit right in he middle of bumper opening.

your exhaust is going to be LOUD now..

try putting a turndown on the smaller pipe, you dont want the fumes going into your cabin.
