I was wondering if anyone had done this. My girl has an accord and like a bunch of new cars now-a-days, she has running daylights. I was just wondering if anyone had ever made their signal lights on the tc, which i love, into running daylights or parking lights that can be controlled with the switch, i think it would look pretty cool since those lights are so bright and nicely placed. they would also have to keep their service as a signal light of course, but i've seen a lot of cars, including many toyota's i think have this feature. I'm curious to see how its done, i don't think it would be very complicated to do, i just dont want to experiment, if you catch my drift. Trial and error is not a method i like to try on expensive stuff. thanks.

Yes, but you'd have to wire in an additional 12v source. Our turns only have one postive, one negative.

You need a 5 pin relay to get the stock ones to do this.

Off the top of my head, the hookup would be:
85: + from turn signal switch
86: ground
30: + to ign source (on when the ign is on)
87a: + to turn signal bulb
87: not used

This would make the light be on when the car is on and blink on and off when you hit the turn signals.

You'd need one for each side, and you may need a LED (Heavy Duty) flasher unit to get rid of the 'hyperflashing'

I haven't searched, I'm sure there is, but it's really not that hard. The relay will have 5 connectors (make sure you get 5-pin relays) with the numbers I posted above. Just make the appropriate connections and you're good to go.

If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, anyone that has done car audio or alarm installs will know how to do this.

i've read how a relay works which makes me wanna go and buy a whole bunch of relays. i've stripped and connected my entire audio system at home but yea, i am a little hesitant. i'll visit my neighborhood ar audio place and ask one of the installers.

Tap the power from your paking light..
Then tap it to your turn signal wire with one way diode .. and it's done.....

^^ Except when you have your parking lights on and you hit the turn signal; nothing will happen cause the bulb will alway have 12v power.

There is few differnet ways....

Without relay, just tap the power from the parking lith.. inline with resistor(reduce the brightess) and one way diode...

Wihtout relay, using 1157 bulb and harness... just tap the power from parking for dim light and bright from stock wire

With relay,,, you can have it so that.. it will turn on with parking light on...
Then turn off when turn signal is on.....

Like anything electrical, there's a million ways to do it.
