Default custom emblem on the hatch

does anyone know if there are any custom emblems out there that will cover the the spot where the scion emblem is on the hatch after you remove it?

I wanted to remove the emblems and kinda wanted to put a decepticon emblem on the hatch but I'm not sure how to cover that spot up. I don't really wanna have to take it to a body shop. That's my last resort. Anyone know of a simpler solution?

iono I think the best option you have is to get the garnished shaved and repainted. After that, its a breeze..slap on the decepticon emblem and your good. A shaved and painted garnish should run you around 80 to 100.

Yeah if I have to take it to the bodyshop then I'm just gonna go badgeless. I thought it would be kinda cool to have a different emblem though. I just don't wanna pay to have body work done to that area to just cover it up. Thats why I was hoping to find something that just covers it.

there is but i dont know where, just search..there are plenty of threads on this topic. Considering that our cars are like big legos with wheels..everything should pop out fine. But I think there are some screws or something you have to remove, then again I wouldnt know since I have never messed with my garnish.

yeah there are screws. when u open the trunk theres 2 holes where u put new license plate lights in. open that up and then there 4 screws u need to take off to get the garnish off

you don't have to remove the whole interior piece on the hatch?

yeah I'm not too worried about the painting. I'm gonna paint my RS1 front lip myself here when it gets nicer out. My worry was about removing the piece off the car and possibly filling it.

sounds good! better to wait till this weather gets better. jus check it out so u know for later on to see how to take it off not hard at all pretty easy. definatly wanna see the finished product when u start it. oh btw in the mean time since u wanted a custom emblem why dont u jus paint ur scion emblem flat/glossy black? it will be sleeker and it will blend in with the garnish too

Yeah I though about just doing that but I didn't know if it would look alright. I know a lot people do it. I might give it a shot. Worst case is I remove it anyway I guess. Do you know the easiest way to remove the emblem by the way? Just heat it up?

yeah i did it to mine and my car is flint mica. so it looks good on mine and since ur car is BSP then it will really blend it nicely. and worse comes to worse u can get another emblem for 5 buck or ur jus gonna shave the garnish anyway right? to remove jus heat up but i personally didnt have the heating tool so i jus used a tiny tiny tiny flat head screw driver and jus got underneath the emblem but jus becareful not to scratch anything. and pulled out and thats it. sand it paint it glue it bak on and voila!
