Default Custom fog light install

So I have an aftermarket front bumper, viniati m3 style, which won't accomodate either OEM or VRD foglights. So, I ordered a set of foglights off ebay, these ones to be exact http://www.pilotautomotive.com/Produ...roductID=27160. The site states that they come with an installation manual and a switch, my question is, how do I wire up these lights so that they come on independently and go off when the car goes off. I read the thread on how to do this with the OEM fogs, but since these are aftermarket I'm really confused. Not much wiring experience, but essentially, do I just splice the power wire into my ignition wire, and then ground the ground wire to a bolt of some sort, and how does the switch work, I assume I just feed that wire through to my rocker panel? I'm trying to finally delve into this whole wiring thing, by hooking up the fogs and my gauges, but it sure gets confusing. Any threads, or diagrams, or instructions you can give me to help would be much appreciated. Thanks so much.

http://www.pilotautomotive.com/Produ...roductID=27160 is the link, there was a period at the end of the sentence which messed my link up. My bad, but even still I know there are some people on here who have wired up some non vrd, non oem fogs. Help a brotha out.

The wiring diagrams should be the same for whatever fogs you do have. The link you referred to: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=185730 is exactly what you should read.

hmmmm, yeah I don't think so. That link is very vague and not helpful anyway, but more importantly the fog light kit I'm purchasing doesnt have a relay, just a wiring harness. Heres another example of the kit, with a few pictures

You have the right idea... tap the power wire into any hot wire (I wouldnt mess with the actual ignition, maybe the cigarette lighter is hot till the key comes out, not sure) instead of the battery.

I'm not too good with wiring either, but I have wired quad lights up before and if I remember correctly its

Power to switch, switch to lights, lights to ground. But I may be missing something.

Also if i'm not mistaken, if the switch its self has a light on it to indicate it's on, the switch will need to be grounded. But with those generic kits everything is labeled.

WHHOOOAAAAA, keep a camera handy and take pics of the smoke as you wire your foglights to the little wires behind the cigarette lighter.

OP: If your kit doesn't include a relay, go buy one and figure out how they work. They're $5. And the link Prodigy3000 gave you is actually pretty good. If that seems confusing, just do yourself a favor and pay a shop $60 to put those in.

He asked a simple question, "where do I tap into for power" and if you don't have a simple answer for him, aside from the topic he already said he doesn't understand, why bother posting pretending to help, and mocking me?

I just posted (and I said I wasnt sure) from what i've heard. I bought VRD's so I didn't have to deal with sht like this.

Don't take it personally, guy. If someone is offering up suggestions that'll damage another's car, hell yeah i'm going to correct them.

And i did offer a solution, its in that link Prodigy gave and its all he needs.

That link doesnt make much sense to me, but if you're saying I can buy a relay, please explain where, and how I can install it so that it works please!
