Default custom grille help

Hey, I just picked up some gutter guard (dont bash me for being cheap please) to do the grilles on my SSM tC. I have the general idea of how to do it, but I was wondering if anyone who has already done it had some pointers, possibly a how-to, or pics of their work. Anything will help. Thanks!

It's probably going to have to be screwed on.

If you got the galvanized mesh, it is not paintable. You need to have it powdercoated to change it's color.

Be careful cutting it, stuff will slice your hands and hurts bad. Galvanized also causes infection in every cut you get from it.

You'll need a pair of Tin Snips to cut it properly.

Also, your whole job will be easier if you remove the entire front bumper.

Sorry I can't be of more help!

i suggest using the chrome trim as sort of a template. pop the upper grill out and screw the gutter guard onto the chrome trim using the screws that hold the plastic grill onto the trim itself. then grab some decent wire cutters and cut around the trim piece.. leave about half an inch of slack except for the bottom... you want to leave about 3 inches of slack. basically... the top of the grill is held into the trim by the screws. in order to secure the bottom... bend the grill at almost a 90 degree angle.. and screw down onto the crash foam directly under.

for the bottom grill.. i took my bumper off. you can mount it with 3m moulding tape. this stuff is more then adequate enough to hold it in.

theres lots of ways to mount a homemade grill.. you just have to be creative and make sure whatever way you use looks clean. theres really nothing bad about gutter guard... as with ANYTHING with a car.. if its applicable to what youre trying to use it for... then its really about how good of a job you do on installing it and making it look clean and good.
