Default Custom skid plates???

Does anyone here know if they make custom skid plates for our cars? For a car advertised for customization I'm surprised there's not a lot going for it even in the third party community.

You want skid plates? Hit me up. My company does all sorts of fab work, and I have a decent base of cars to pull from in my club (assuming I'd need to measure off a 1st green tC?) What's the intended use? Rally car? You thinking aluminum?

It's for a TC1. Mainly to replace the stock plastic splash guards and to protect the oil pan. I'm a lot lowered now after putting on my new coilovers and driving around military bases can take a toll on damage. You guys do 2024-T3 or thicker? If it does get made, depending how far back it goes it might need to clear part of the s-pipe. Since we're on the subject mater, under body panels sounds like a good idea as well. I don't know how well they would work as diffusers for our cars though.

Our cars are already pretty aerodynamic, under body panels might not add much aero, but I've heard of hyper milers using them.We can use whatever grade and thickness you'd like, just keep in mind that the thicker it is the more it costs.

Where are you located? I'm down to give off some measurements and try to get a project started. We're in the need of some skid plates.

We're located near Denver CO. I'll reach out to the club for a tc1 to measure off of if you're not close. Hit me with a PM!

Damn I'm all the way in NC. Stationed at Ft. Bragg. Funny thing is that I work on sheet metal myself but due to budget cuts we really can't use the scrape metal for our own personal use.

i've been wanting to get something like this done for myself as well! i don't have any of the splash guards and when it rains, water gets inside my fog lights so i'd like to get something to protect the underside of the car.. if this ever gets produced i'd want one

Since the skid plate is going to get scuffed up even coating it to protect it would be futile once it is scratched from a speed bump or manhole cover. Just something to think about I guess....

There is a company that makes them for the 350z and 370z. It has a trap door that opens to allow access to oil filter and draining, so no need to take on and off for routine maintenance.
Hey thanks a lot. I'll keep that in mind. I wasn't sure if T4 would cut it but T6 would probably do the trick. I should try to hit up your friend some time later and see if he can chime in on this.

Nice. PM a contact so we can try something out. It's been way too long around here in the tC community with no skid plates.
