Default DDM Digital HID's and New Fog Lights (BlackMetal)

Been a while since I made any posts... Been in the Hospital, I got into a bad Motorcycle accident Bike is trashed, I got a broken arm (metal plate installed), and a fractured shoulder blade - but that's a story for a different time I'd like to note that wearing GEAR saved my life!!!! to all you that don't wear helmets / jackets.

Since all that I'm going back to 4 wheels again, I bought some new parts I've been meaning to get for a while now. I was amazed at the fact that my DDM HIDs that I put into my bike survived the accident - I bought 2 new pairs for my Headlights (H11 35w 10K) and new Fog Lights (H3 35w 3k).

Before anyone says "You should have bought APT/VRD Fog Lights" - I had them:

^ I think that one of them sprung a leak...

Here's the new ones:

Install Shots ( Yes, I did all the work myself with ONE ARM *pats self on back ):

I like the mounting bracket these come with, it secures the light in place nicely, also these have an alignment screw on them.

The fitment on the fog lights took a little work to get them "near perfect" - no modifications to the light or bumper cover was needed. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome, just hope the fog light housings last longer than my VRDs did...

Haha, thanks... Ya, I was quite surprised too when I opened the box, I thought they were just going to be a little bigger than the VRD's...

Well, at the risk of getting ridiculed by everyone ... eBay...

Non-LED Version (Ones I have on my car):

LED Version:

I'm not sure how long these have been out for, I know there is a similar design fog light on eBay as well that I've seen on tC's here, a lot of people complained about fitment issues on those though... Figured I'd give these a shot...

I'm hoping that the new ones don't leak, I took my car to the wash just before I took they Day shots towards the end of the post... Thankfully, nothing was leaking or having condensation building up Still too early to tell, the VRD's got messed up over a small period of time, I could have saved them like you mentioned with putting silicone on them, but I was so busy with finally finishing College that I simply didn't have the time to take them off and repair the seal. So, water built up in the passenger side one and rusted the heck out of the fog housing. Either way, even if the new no-name eBay ones get messed up they were cheap to start with, the APT/VRD's weren't

Hey bro, how you been?... Thanks, the accident sucked - long story short, I had to stop in a emergency and wound up picking the rear of the bike up to a 12 o'clock. Thing shot me off like a catapult at ~45MPH and I wound up flying through the air, landed on my arm with full body weight, hit my head on the ground real hard a few times (helmet saved me), and got some nasty road rash on my left hand and left knee (right arm & shoulder blade is broken). The bike cart wheeled a few times and its totaled by the insurance. I'm done with bikes, they're not for everyone and I cherish my life too much to push my luck again Not to mention going through two painful surgeries to put my arm back together with metal plates.

Nice, how long have you had them for?... Any problems?... I had the 8k kit on my bike for 4 months, never had any problems and they still worked after the wreck... That's why I bought 2 sets for my car (also they were on sale for $65 a set when I got them)

I actually had a cheap eBay kit that was big and analog for about 8 months, and my cousin had the DDM's for about a year when his car got repo'd haha. He messed up his bulbs taking the DDM's off but the ballast were good so he said I could have them. I took them because I liked how they were slim and could blend in better under my hood, not to mention digital.

So far they are brighter than my cheap kit, and fire up every time (the cheap kit did too though).

I don't want to get off topic, but I was at the Doctors yesterday because it was time for the stitches to come out and get a fresh cast... Needless to say it was a crappy, crappy afternoon... I really WAS NOT expecting it to be this bad, this was the first time I seen my arm after the second surgery

Oh, and they slightly repositioned the way my arm was resting in the cast, I'm hurtin'...

It's the Injen CAI, I'm using it in the SRI configuration... If you click on my Nitrous DIY or Mini Photoshoot link in my signature line you can see it better...

That's good to hear... For the price of these HID's from DDM you can't even get a set of High-End PIAA bulbs (I had PIAA Crystal ION H11's before the HID's - they costed me $90)... The DDM kit I got on there website 2 weeks ago on sale for only $65 a pair... I bought 2 sets of HID's for only $143.00 shipped!!! You just can't beat that price for the quality of these HID's...

Ya, the HID's were $65 + Shipping ($12) = $77 Shipped

The Fog Lights were $62 Shipped

The fogs originally came with standard white Halogen bulbs, right now DDM isn't charging anything extra for the Yellow 3000k HID Kit... The sale is still going on, I just checked... If you guys want a GREAT HID Kit you can't beat this price, they also have a Lifetime warranty on the kit..

Here's the direct link to the HID's on DDM's website:
http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=101&parent=85

As long as you have the rear rubber grommet on in the back of the fog light you should be fine, that will help with keeping the water or debris out of the fog light housing.
