Default De-badge your tC?

Why some people like to take that tC logo off their car, I wonder? I have nothing against that. I mean, it's their car. But why go through the trouble? Is it gonna make the car nicer? To me, the de-badging if not properly done, may scratch your paint. Just too much for me to handle.

Agree. I just didn't want the dealer stickers, etc. on my car. Personally I like the "SCION" and "tC" on the back.

tC is subtle enough. My matrix had a HUGE Matrix logo, toyota T-thing, and a word TOYOTA, plus the XR trim logo all on the rear hatch - that was super busy. tC is much better with that. People still have no idea what I'm driving

the tC was really easy to take off tho, just used a hair drier and a bottle of goo-gone

on the topic of WHY i did it, was simply because i felt that the back was out of balance since there was only a "tC" on the right side of the car, and nothing on the left to really even it out

just my .02

I will probably debadge mine, i like the stealthly look. I also think I may mask off the front, and paint the scion emblem flat black...Cause I think i read you cant take it out cause it'd have a hole there. Maybe I can pop it out, paint it, and put it back in as flat black once I get my car :-D

The tC removal seems ok looking to me. I will probably just leave mine on though. Not sure about the red calipers though ;)

word :D

personally i want it to bed debadged. i dont someone to run by and rip it off my car and risk scratching the paint. and IMO it looks better.

red calipers arent really my thing. if i were to paint my calipers it would either be silver or black. something that doesnt stand out as much

Im not sure why everyone keeps using a hair dryer to remove the tC emblem. It just peels right off and I had noe residue. It was easier to take off then the pinstripping. But I too used Goo-Gone. Hit it with a little Meguiars quick detailer and it was smooth as glass.

I don't plan on rebadging with Toyota but instead plan on replacing the Scion badge with my own custom badge. I plan on adding this badge:

The other two photos are what I used to design the badge (Go UofA Wildcats!!!)
As for the tC, it is coming off and staying off.

before you start debadging the sybmol you need to debadge that dealership logo, but my car didnt have one tho... i dont like havin that sticker of dealership place, peel that ____ off with a quickness...

why change the scion emblem now? people are gonna make nice ones with probably a different way of saying scion (S) later on in the future.

Hey rocketpants, I drove your car! It probably had about 350 miles on it when you picked it up right?

Yup, definately drove it. About 30 of those 350 miles were from my test drive. I want my tC completely bare when I get it. On yours they put the "window etching," I think that added like $150 to the price Jayson is a nice guy, but he was supposed to call me if they got in an Indigo Ink so I could check it out, but they got one and he didn't call
