How come there isn't a write up on how to do it for the Tc? I really want to keep the honeycomb, i dont like ebay's or vrd's. Ive herd theres 2 ways to do it; Replace the whole thing with the bottom, or just cut out the scion and replace with more honeycomb...What do u guys think? Ive searched but everything is for removing the rear emblem and the only write up for the grill de-badging is for the box. Any help that u guys have for me would be awsome. Much luv. No homo

you cant really debadge the front like you can w/ the rear. itll take some degree of modding to say the least. search for like "DIY badge-less grill mod" or something

seriously man. but if you must know. all you have to do is use a hair dryer and heat up the tc symbol for a while until the adhevsive gets soft. be careful with a flat head. or just your hands or something sot so you don't scrape it. and take it off.

 

im wasn talkin about the scion symbol. i was talkin about totally erasing the emblem from the front grill...

 

it wont look good if you take it off... its flat behind the emblem, the grill pattern isn't continued behind it...

 

Ya, you're in a whole other world there. That would be for the tC emblem on the back. He's talking about the front grille.

Now there is a way to get an extra bottom one grill and fit it into the top, but I'm not sure of the specifics on that...

 

Now looking at that, it'd be sorta tough to cut it out and work in some more honeycomb...

If I were you, I'd try to swap the bottom in... I'll see what I can find as far as DIY's

It's some work, but worth it in the end... GL!

 

I know this has gone back and forth... Without having to go through all the hassle of buying a new grill VRD, etc.... or a lengthy process of modding the stock one... I've seen several pics on here and in person where people simply took the silver scion emblem off, prepped and painted it flat black to match the color of the rest of the grill. a "black out" effect. And it looks pretty decent too.

for the time being, i just bought the cheap ebay plastic grill, seeing as how i like the stock 08 lower and i cant find just an upper vrd. it looks cheap up close but when you see the overall look, i like it better then an emblem on there
