Errr...no. Stfu plz. I'm just not spoiled to where I get a brand new car at 16 which will probably be wrecked in a year. I bought my first car, a 93 Accord Coupe, and put all of my money which I worked for in it. H22 swap, tein coilovers, jdm one piece headlights, jdm power folding mirrors, jdm bumper pole, and a 3000W stereo system.

I have learned that it is a huge mistake to spend so much money on a car, because you never know when some Russian _____ is going to change lanes right into your car and total it, which happened to me.

Sure you can bet I won't keep my tC stock, it's hard to keep any car that way, but I'll only put on an intake and exhaust.


I don't want a car to be bought for me, sure my parents could easily afford it (we are a 3 bimmer family), but I like to work for things. Nothing ____es me off more then seeing some lame ___ teenager rolling in his nice ___ car which his parents bought for him. I see that way too often in a college town.

i wouldnt mind shaving the scion out, molding that hatch piece to the rest of that hatch, but keep the 3rd brake light.

problem with molding (if you do)... if the motor for the hatch gets blown... yo umight have to do alot of work to replace it

we... i dont know how the motor is assembled... but you could take the plastic liner of the hatch from the inside... dont know if the motor is attached to that little hatch piece though....

food for thought... i might do this in a year...

 

The motor that opens the trunk is not connected to the plastic piece on the exterior of the hatch. The release button (obviously) is.

 

the release button is attached to the motor though. but you get the idea of what i am talking about.

 

am i the only one who doesnt like it? i think the idea to go ahead and do it was awesome, but it think it makes it look like a neon... maybe with a spoiler or something, i dunno. it just doesnt look right to me

 

i kinda agree that it doesnt look all that hot. i think if the scion logo was shaved, and that piece was molded into the hatch, it would look alot better.

i also think how taek has it now would look alot better if he had a spoiler that had a 3rd brake light in it

i think im just goin to shave the scion emblem and then put a smoke brake overlay on the brake light......

taek, you deff should do a 3rd brake light, far safety reasons alone

 

so are there actually holes for the rear two emblems? I thought they would just be those stick on type.

 

I think they are only the stick on type

 

the tC is stick on

the scion has 2 holes drilled that hold it on, plus it is recessed a little.

 

I think there use to be a white tc on these forums who had the scion emlem taking off but not the third brake light anyone know who that is.

 

well hate to be a post basher but you do something like that in Ny your getting on hell of a ticket law state any car newer than 1986 has to have a third brake light but that car looks like a honda accord know sorry guy

 

try to get a 3rd brake light in the spoiler
