Default Decisions on Grills

i narrowed my grill choice down to the VRD

I need a color though........I have the Sizzlin Crimson Mica paint on the08......what will look better........the Black or Titanium.........feedback please good bad or ugly........I am not into the FIG grill as much and the overlays are not my look either.

I will be getting rims in the spring and am leaning towards gunmetal on them with the polished lip.

Thanks again.......Brian

I don't think I've actually seen the Titanium installed, so I really don't know. You can't go wrong with black though.

I think black would look best, especially since you plan on going with a darker color wheel.
The titanium looks good from the pics I've seen but would prolly look best on a lighter color car.

I never saw VRD grills until I read this. I just checked them out, aren't they a bit high on the price side for a grille?

not really any higher than the grillcraft or fig grilles if you get them powdercoated. Plus it's a true oem replacement, no cutting/drilling/zip ties. That alone made the price worth it for me.

i was contemplating between the black and titanium grill as well.

my friend said there was a backorder at VRD for them so i just got the titanium one. i'm supposed to get it tomorrow, hopefully.

i'm hoping it'll look good Lol. it's a gamble, but RnB said that over time the titanium slightly fades so it's a good shade. not too blingy. if that doesn't work i might just powder coat it :/

i was going to get VRDs last year but decided to get the bottom OEM grill and cut to where i can customize it to fit on top making it match.

If you think it's too expensive you can always do what I did and make a DIY bottom to top oem grill conversion (I also did it 'cause it keeps the stock look)

i got mine for 125 through a friend, i'm so excited to see how it'll fit!

i heard that the bottom grill should be secured with zip ties or something in case it flies off. is this true? i don't want to lose a bottom grill -0-

i have titanium.

when I first got it, I thought it was on the blingy side, during direct sunlight,

after a few months it dulls out and now it just looks like aluminum/gunmetal, definately doesnt resemble hyper black anymore.

the polished finish is pretty much entirely gone
