dim 3rd brake light
i have a 08' tC and the 3rd brake light is extremely dim...
is this going out? or simply a loose connection?

When mine failed it simply went out. The process of removing the hatch plastics to get to it, while easy, offers many opportunities to break something. The LED unit itself is definitely not at all serviceable. I was hoping I'd be able to mod the old one to do something interesting but no.

Sorry to multipost but there have been a couple of "dim" light issues recently. I'd also check the battery negative to frame cable for continuity, corrosion, and integrity. Lots of odd elec issues can pop up with a bad ground. For some reason the tC likes to create lots of battery reaction products all around the +/- terminals.
