DIY- Kaminari Bodykit Custom Grill
Well I have the Kaminari body kit and I didnt want to spend $150 for the grill kit from Kaminari so I went to home depot and spent $12 on a 20ft roll of mesh to make my own custom grills. I think they came out awesome and best of all its custom
I couldnt find any pics of custom grills for the Kaminari body kit so I made this DIY and I especially did it for those who want to save a good deal of money on the grills.
So first the materials needed:
Drill
Small screws
Mesh of your choice
Kaminari body kit
Black Spray paint
Something to cut the mesh with
1. First I got some mesh from home depot for $12
2. Take your bumper off the car
3. Then I cut the mesh out to fit around the opening on the kaminari kit
4. Notice the (authentic) kaminari bumper has little spots to drill a screw into. Makes it very easy to attach grills.
5. Test fit the grills by screwing them in place and bending the edges over so that way when its painted u dont have to bend them.
6. Paint them up with the spray paint of your choice. I decided to go with high heat black to match the black and white theme of my car
7. Screw the painted grills back on the bumper
8. Stand bumper upright and check out your work
9. Put the bumper back on the car and enjoy your new custom grills for your kaminari body kit
10. Go take some pics of your new grills and show them off to someone!

Thanks. Im sure you could use this DIY on the stock bumpers. You would just have to find a way to secure the grills onto the stock bumpers or take apart the stock grill and mount them to that

Nice work. I spent the $150 for the kaminari ones and was more than ____ed when I got them and they look EXACTLY like your $12 ones. Kaminari is good stuff, but come one now, they are nothing but the same exact thing you have for 10 times the price.
Nice work!!!

Yea. I agree on the retros but I need money and that is why more items from my car are slowly going bye bye.
And the least I can hope is that someone saves money on making themselves a grill for their body kit. If I wasted my time writing my first DIY... Thats the least i could hope for. hahaha
Anyways... Thanks for the compliments everyone
