Default DIY tC emblem debadge

I just did this yesterday... thought I would post the before/after. And for those that have never done it... it may help but its pretty self explanatory.

Step1) Get your supplies... my last car I just did it while it was extremely hot. But this will make the process much easier. Get a hair dryer, (car safe) sticker remover, dental floss, and a rag.

Step2) The before shot

Step3) Heat the stickers and emblem til it gets nice and warm. The dealer sticker basically fall right off. The emblem use the dental floss to slice it off... simple sawing and pull method. Yank off the tC logo if it has not fallen off... spray some sticker remover and peel off the remaining goo.

Step4) Wipe clean, admire, and enjoy the minty fresh feeling . I'm taking into consideration where to can relocate the tC emblem, probably the glove box.

Thats it I'm sure most can handle this in about 5 mins or less. Personally I like the debadged look but to each his own.

I got some generic bumper sticker remover from Pep boys I think... 3 bucks? I wouldn't use anything that is paint/clear coat safe... But I think the bug/tar remover would work well.

You don't need anything if you are just going to take off the tC emblem. Just go at it slowly and you shouldn't have any adhesive stuck on the car. DON'T use a string or floss or anything. That will just slice the emblem off and leave all the gunk.

I would seriously re-state that....I WOULD use something paint AND clear coat safe!!! I debadged my xB, and I used Rubbing Alcohol to loosen the glue up after picking some of it off by hand....here's the thread....(read entire thread for the things I used)...
